My very first car, 1986 Saab 900 (well, what was left of her).

These photos are proof that Saabs are the safest cars on the road.
I was going 35mph when I hit black ice and veered across the incoming lane (luckily, no traffic) and hit a pole (not so lucky). The impact was so hard, it threw my glasses from my face & I had whiplash for 3 days.
They didn't have airbags in '86, so the seatbelts are to thank for keeping me alive. (WEAR YOURS!)
(These were taken the day after, in early Feb of '00, Columbus, OH. Note: my hair is no longer a mess :)
